A while back I purchased on sale for $69 a Zoom H1 essential (32 bit float)
Not any particular use for it but at that price just for fun.
Well guess what works. My iPhone 16 ProMax see’s the zoom as a USB microphone using
the BlackMagic camera app and it works. I was able to record with the H1 while taking video with the phone so - get a 32 bit recording and use the iPhone audio as scratch audio to sync up with later.
