Anyone else displeased with customer service?

Or did I just get unlucky with the guys I talked to. Bought a brand new BMPCC 4k, the battery won't charge.

I asked customer service if they could send me a battery to save me the down time. Nope, I have to send my battery back first. THEN they'll send me one. I asked, can't you send me a new battery and sent a shipping label with it for me to send the old one back? Nope, you can either send in the battery and we'll send you a new battery, or the second guy wanted me to send the whole camera in. They told me it would be about 10 to 14 business days before I got the battery or camera back.

One guy actually told me that he would "help me out" by giving me the part number so I could go out and buy a battery so I could use my brand new camera. I called the place I bought it from, they asked if I want them to send me a WHOLE new camera and include a shipping label with it so I can send the old one back AFTER I get the new one.

Doesn't seem like asking for a battery from BM was unreasonable. From your experience, does this sound normal or did I get some guys on a bad day?
