When using a manual lens (Rokinon 85mm 1.5 DSX) with adapter MC21, I'm not able to set the Focal Length under Lens Data. Other lenses, like my Canons (like my 24-105 L) show the data automatically fine. This is rather painful because I'm not able to make the gyro stabilization work in Resolve without resorting to a tedious process of generating sidecar files for each of the clips.
On another note, why doesn't setting the focal length in Resolve on the clips have any effect on gyro? I understand that the project caches the metadata, but shouldn't setting it manually in Resolve update it? The only way seems to be to generate sidecar files and create a new project, which is like I said rather painful, especially when there are a lot of clips with a mix of manual and auto lens shots.
I'd appreciate any input you can give!
