Remote start using bluetooth device on Blackmagic Camera iOS

I can't seem to find a way to start recording on the Blackmagic Camera app iOS using a remote bluetooth device. I have a Start Recording device that starts and stops recording on the built-in video recording app, but it doesn't work on the Blackmagic Camera app iOS. Any help?
