Update 9.6 adds Prerecord for Pyxis?

Wasn’t the 9.6 update supposed to be to add pre record for the Pyxis? And when will you update the Pyxis to give proper contrast out of the usb-c port. Both of these issues are soooooooooooki confusing. Help! Anyone out there? Should I just contact support for these questions?

9.6 is a camera update for the Micro G2, not the Pyxis monitor.

I saw that! The keynote video said 9.6 was supposed to be for Pyxis. Blackmagic is my favorite camera company but boy I with they would be clear about this stuff.

Looks like they got the naming wrong.

Technically they announced that would be coming at NAB as 9.6 Update and the Micro Studio Camera PYXIS Monitor Update would be 9.7. But I guess they are still working on Pre-Record. So maybe 9.7 now. But it was said to be a Beta release to start. So that may be a part of what is delay.

They announced:

• Add's Pre-Record Feature.
• Always on or single record modes.
• Initial support for Blackmagic PYXIS and URSA Broadcast G2.

We will just have to wait and see. My guess is that now the numbers got reversed.

That’s the thing I find so frustrating. They make us do so much guesswork. Just tell us. Still working on it, the other update was done first” I love this company but give their communication a 2/10. The Pyxis outputs a distorted lo contrast signal to any monitor you connect through USB-C. They haven’t told the community here that they are even working on it or talked about the issue outside of third party accounts of support claims. This is my 3rd or 4th post about this now and I think it’s getting a little silly at this point. They use to be so good at coms on the message board. Any word Blackmagic? These thread ARE monitored right?
