Flase color Map "on the left side of the camera" missing?

PostWed May 07, 2025 2:38 pm

Hi everyone, long time Sony user, just got a pyxis 6K, my first BM camera. Super excited!

When I toggle false color on, the color overlay shows up just fine on LCD, but I cannot get the legend/map/IRE chart to show on the left side of the screen. The manual clearly says that it should.

I've searched the forum, but nothing matched, which makes me think I'm missing something obvious.

thanks much and looking forward to being part of the community!

Me too. It was there and now for some reason I can’t find now?

Is 'Remote Control' in the SETUP menu enabled?

Turn it off and the map should come back.

Sweat.

Any chance these can work together in a future update?

Yes, it's logged as a bug in our system.

Huh, just checked this thread and then checked my URSA Cine 12K. Yeah, the False Color Map doesn't display when False Color is enabled on the UCine either. With either "Remote Control" enabled or disabled it doesn't show. Interesting.

I'm so used to the False Color throughout the years I know exactly what the values are. And, since that Map wasn't available on the URSA Mini Pro G2 I didn't even notice a difference with the URSA Cine. But if it's supposed to be displayed then this should also be logged as a bug for the URSA Cine as well.

EDIT: NEVER MIND

Oh, I see what my mistake was. I had a clean feed on my monitor when I was hitting the False Color button on the EVF. And, same for the F1 Button I assigned to False Color for the LCD. If I have the HUD up and enable False Color on either then the Map Displays. However, if you do Clean Feed then the Map doesn't show. Got it.

No matter I wasn't paying close attention to whether the Map displays in the past because I'm so used to the false color. It's cool that it depends on the Status Text and whether you enable Clean Feed or not. So often I look at false color in the clean feed mode so I can clearly see the exposure of the scene.
