Will there ever be a BMCC with active m4/3 mount?

It seemed to be in the works, when John Brawley wrote in his blog in April:

"Now for those wanting an active m4/3 2.5K BMCC, I’m told that it will still be some time before that’s possible. Basically, it’s a fairly big job to redesign not only the mount, but the electronics inside. It will still be some time before this becomes an option on the BMCC, but obviously they’ve shown it can be done now ! My impression is it still months away from being able to be done."

But now that the passive mount m4/3 version is shipping, and the Pocket and the Production Cams on the horizon, will there ever be an active m4/3 BMCC? I think Blackmagic should at least give us some information regarding this question. Imagine buying the passive mount version, only to have the active one coming out after a couple of months with no way of refitting..

Unfortunately none of us can answer that question. My guess would be that yeah, there probably will be one some day. But when exactly is anyone's guess. But good news however is that the passive mft bmcc is now shipping, so there's that. I've preordered the active mft mount bmpcc, and am currently saving my pennies for the mft bmcc. At any rate, if the new cameras do start shipping in July(ish) then we'll have four models to choose from. (I know that sounds like a big "duh" but my point was that at least we have plenty of options.)
