Inkee benbox and pocket og

PostWed Nov 23, 2022 7:45 pm

I'm looking to get an inkee benbox video transmitter for my pocket og and i was wondering if the camera controls work in app or not. I haven't been able to find any info online.
Their faq mention a pocket 2k to work, but i'm not 100% sure.
Can anyone confirm if it works or not?

Thank you.

What’s a pocket 2K? There never was one. I wouldn't trust an answer that doesn't even get that right.
Now that the cat #19 is out of the bag, test it as much as you can and use the subforum.

That camera has no USB, it can only be controlled by LAN-C. There is no mention of such a connector on that transmitter.

You might be pioneering then ;-)

But they have an email, just scroll down: info@in-kee.com
I doubt there are many people around here who are still using an original BMPCC and such a box.

I may just be one of those people.

I have a BMPCC/OG and an Inkee Benbox.
I never thought of trying the Panasonic TRRS to USB A cable until you mentioned it.

Today I did.
Results, a great big fat ZERO.
TRRS plug being analogue may explain the lack of communication between USB and LANC.
The HDMI works fine but the USB does nothing. Those are my results with the hardware I have.

I did find a 2 year old video covering using LANC(Panasonic cable) with a LUMIX camera. @+/- 11:55

The App has changed over time. I have lost B/W and LUTS.

I have not had any issues regarding video transmission other than what comes with "you get what you pay for".
I have had no success with the LANC control which is not surprising since there has to be a handshake between digital devices and having an analogue TRRS LANC plug(2013 technology) connected to a digital USB device makes that complicated. If designed for Panasonic, you may find that it is a selection item in the menu of the Panasonic camera.

Plugging the LANC control into the BMPCC does not add any functions or alter the screen of the App on the iOS device.
Things may be different with the Android App. I have no way of knowing.

Isn't there a diy step by step guide or something that does it?
