Thank you very much.

What I want to know, how is the 9.5 update with the 6K G2 and the older 6K full frame?
Because withh the full frame I see on Youtube that they have the 9.5 update.

Greets from the Netherlands,

Noecy.

I don‘t have a BMD camera now,
so I was search for the options when I buy one.

The question now is,
works normal autofocus on the 6K Pro?

Greetz,

Noecy from Holland

I don´t know if you saw the answer from our friend above, but NO, Pocket 6K PRO and 6k G2 will NOT have auto focus. The firmware with auto focus does NOT work on them...The only camera that has a sensor that Support auto focus is 6k cinema camera full frame.

Cheers

I was having a hard time imagining a world where a GM release for the pockets didn’t happen but it’s still comforting to hear that it is being worked on. Thanks for the update!

GM is the Golden Master release or the final production status for software published. Before that there may be alpha and beta releases for testing and perhaps a GA General Availability release which has not yet been certified as ‘Golden.’ GM means the development of the software is complete. It doesn’t mean that it is perfect or complete but the development stage has ended and now the product moves to the maintenance stage to correct any errors. Further features may be added that begin their own development testing cycle.

In terms of naming conventions a GM may refer to release 1.0 or 20.0 for enhanced major features that can include new architecture or data features. Release 20.0.1 would refer to minor maintenance releases and 20.1.0 refers to some feature enhancements but normally nothing that upsets the architecture of the software or the data structure.
