**EDIT** shoot never mind, I figured it out. I was trying to view stills in camera and they weren't showing up, but were indeed on the T5. man they look amazing! /edit

First off, that is the cutest cat ive ever seen, and im a dog person :) although that cat looks mishchievious ha ha.. Im going to piggy back on this thread and ask.. has anyone been able to trigger a still remotely? was trying the black magic bluetooth app but not having luck. I can use a corded trigger but thinking that may just not work, maybe only for film recording. I have to shoot 4 trays of slides from the 80's and cant hover over the camera for 2 hours. thanks

the 6k gets great stills. just shoot video, as mentioned, but with stills in mind (ie fast shutter, tripod, etc). I have a preset just for this, as my cinema shutter is usually at 1/48). And theres nothing "wrong" about creatively using stills. Used to be, because video stills were awful. not the case anymore. professional photographers do burst shooting so what's the difference (as far as pulling stills from images shot in succession)

I DONT use it as my primary still camera when I need to do photography, same way I wouldn't use my still camera to shoot cinema. And many times I using my iPhone to shoot stills. its incredible the quality you can get using RAW, especially with 3rd party lenses/filters. heck ive even shot GREAT looking video on that phone in filmic pro. holds its own for sure. but in general, I would pull stills from the 6K footage and not use the "picture button". and can someone tell me why the hell BM put a "selfie button" on this thing? ha ha. weird.

You can use the third party app Bluetooth+ which is able to trigger stills. Just swipe a bit down in the app - at the bottom there is the button.
Saying "Thx for help!" is not a crime.

yeah I edited that post, but should delete it. my problem was I didn't know you couldn't see the stills from in camera review, so I thought they weren't working. saw the "stills" folder on the hard drive though and was like "oooohhh" ha ha

Here’s a frame grab from my P6K Pro doing video to grab stills from as that’s the only way to review the shot. But I shot this vertically to do a portrait style still. So it’s very doable to use the Pocket 6K for stills. The Pro is fantastic for this because the EVF is great.
