I love seeing everyone's work on here! Here is a behind the scenes trailer for my post apocalyptic short film titled "THE LAST HOTSPOT".
Everything was filmed with a 18-55mm kit lens or my new sigma 18-35 f1.8 lens with my BMCC. I used my co-workers and mom as crew and so far have come up with this. The short film will be coming out next month! Not trying to use this post as pure advertisement, but if you'd like to be notified please feel free to subscribe to my channel. I also review cameras such as the BMCC as you may have seen before.
Thanks for watching!

Testing my Blackmagick Pocket Cinema Camera with an Angenieux f2.2 12-120mm (10x12B), an old 16mm cinema lens (no filter).
Shot in the shores of Paraguaçu River, nearby the historical city of Cachoeira, in Bahia, Brazil.
Color grading in Davinci Resolve 11 with ImpulZ LUTs.
Raw and ProRes mixed footage.

Hi all,

My short, WHISPER, won best film, best musical score, best writing, best actress, and best acting ensemble at the St. Louis 48 Hour Film Project. Shot with the BMCC 2.5K and the pocket in prores, colored (quickly) in Resolve.

Thanks for watching!

Very good job! A cut above most short films. Especially good, considering it's a 48-hour project.

Also a huge reminder of the power of a good score to make your images look better.

Thank you,
I used a sigma 18-35 and a canon 24-105. All was lit with just 1 to 2 lights for any given scene.

Video shot a couple weekends ago for an artist here in Atlantic Canada.

Shot on two Blackmagic Cinema 2.5k Cameras. Couple shots near the end shot on Blackmagic Pocket Cinema.

ProRes HQ all around. Camera A was shoulder mounted with 5pound counter weight, Canon 18-55mm lens with variable ND filter. Camera B was monopod with vintage Asahi 28mm lens and variable ND filter. Both had matte boxes. Grade and slight NR was done in Davinci and edit, effects done in FCPx.

This was a great shoot. It was the annual community BBQ and they didn't know were going to shoot the video. We went in and asked if we could shoot the song, and everyone was just as excited as we were. The energy and support we received from them really set the mood for the style I decided on, as did the message of the song. I essentially looked at the footage and when I started to cut noticed just how many people Mike (Phakt) knew and how much love they were giving him and the kids having a blast which took me to my childhood. So I decided to go very warm and to and try to give it that same look that people who grew up in the 70s and 80s see when they look at pictures from their summer vacations and happy times.

Hi All! First post here :)

I shot this little visual whilst working on set for Marie Claire Australia.

I had just got a Canon 6-120mm f1.7 B4 mount for the BMPCC which is super nice! I was also testing out shooting a sharper shutter angle at 30fps and slowing a fraction in post. It was just a work around as i love the BM image but wanted some slow mo, thank you BM for designing the Ursa Mini!! :)

My little journey to Iceland this June. Shot primarily on BM4K (RAW@24fps) with Sigma 18-35, 50 (all ARTs) and Rokinon 8mm Fisheye lenses. Edited in Final Cut Pro X 10.2.1 and graded in DaVinci Resolve 11.3.1.
I had about 3 hours of RAW material, approximately 2.3 TB of space (on my WD Passport Ultra).

Have fun - I did :-D

Philipp, outstanding execution with the edited clips matching the changes in pace and mood of the song. Last shot simple and memorable.

Hello! that's the latest videoclip shot for an italian singer named Caparezza. Shot with Red Epic and BMPC4K. For all the shot in the water, green screens and from the bathroom to the end i use the BMPC4k. We reached some really good slomo at 30fps. The extreme one are made with the Red Epic.
Thank you!

Thanks for posting this. Love the Killington shots.

By the way, the shot of the guy golfing. He is dipping on his follow through. Definitely losing yards on his drive with that. Where was that golf course?

Thanks again.

Thanks Terry! Hopefully someday soon I'll be shooting with the 4.6K Sensor some of this awesomeness. I especially look forward to all future footage I'll be shooting with the BMCC that I do still have because it still generates amazing images. When the URSA Mini 4.6K becomes available for rental I may raise the money to rent it to shoot some key stuff in the region.

The golf course was Green Mountain National Golf Course in Killington, VT. And, that was only the first hole's tee. I've been playing this course since I was a young man and know some great places to shoot some incredible footage.

Are you going to be at the BMD NYC Event on the 22nd? I've RSVP'd for it, and am intent on getting a first hand look at the new cameras and asking some questions. It's exciting the direction you guys are going.

We recently shot a new Gamers short on the BMPC4K.

The first bit is from a previous film and was DSLR (5D mk II).
The contrasting quality is a little jarring in favor of the newer footage.

I've got a short 30-second surprise fun commercial for everyone. Shot this real "run-and-gun" style with the still fantastic BMCC 2.5K. Maybe after the Blackmagic Event in NYC if anyone sticks around on the east-coast and is looking for something fun to do up north there's a great concert series now going...

I must say, the day off I started thinking while prepping the camera how sweet that new URSA Mini design would be for a shoot like this. I can't wait to check it out at the event. I'm especially excited for what DaVinci Resolve 12 holds. This was graded in 11 Lite. Oh, and for anyone who wants to know what codec: 1080 HD ProRes Proxy.

Yup, even in the worst compression settings on the camera it still does a great job. Did I mention that all audio came from the on-camera microphone? Hmmm... Yeah, still a fantastic camera.

Dave and Stephanie Tadlock, a husband and wife “steam team”, can often be found in the cab of engine #3 at Railtown 1897 on any given weekend. Both are qualified for the positions of fireman and engineer, and it’s not unusual to find them swapping seats throughout the day. I had the pleasure of spending opening day at Railtown with Dave and Stephanie to film train operations with much of the footage shot from inside the cab featuring them both running #3.

Filmed with BMPCC

Lol I realize that, but as I stated in my description, this was strictly to test the vintage lens and color grading. I own a shoulder mount and tripod but wasn't planning on bringing them up North

Oh definitely. Looks like a mini vacation home video...shot on FILM! The shakiness is the only thing I can see that's "bad" but everything else, including the point of the post which is the grade, are gorgeous. Yeah, a rig or tripod or gimbal would have been great, but the actual composition, handling of ambient light, color grade, even the edit, are all fantastic.

From a weekend at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway - All 4K RAW with the BMPC4K (took home about 4 1/2 TB of Video).

I rolled the dice and stayed by the winner Juan Pablo Montoya's pit and was able to capture the reaction of the crew and family.

Mostly the ol' reliable 24-105 F4 with a Hoya Ir-Cut and Variable ND with a Cineroid EVF on the side as my Ursa Minor. Even with that I still managed to overexpose stuff :D Completely posted with Resolve 12 Beta 1&2. 4K is like butter on a new X99 PC.
