Back Focus Issue | B4 Lens on URSA Broadcast

PostMon Oct 14, 2019 11:32 am

Hi all:

I recently purchased an URSA Broadcast camera that came with a Fujinon HD XA16X8A lens.

The world of B4 lenses are new to me.

When I'm wide the background is completely out of focus. After doing homework, I see the back focus chart I need to use to set it.

BUT, this lens doesn't have a back focus ring!! From some things I've read, it sounds like it's an electronic back focus needed. I don't think URSA Broadcast can do this?

So... what am I to do? Is there any way to set the focus so that I may use it on the camera?

Thanks,
Jon

Does it have an ff button ?
Ahhh yes , electronic.
Ensure the lens is in servo mode
Press and hold ff for around 3 seconds until the little red light flashes.
I think the lens will zoom in, focus on chart
Press button again
Will zoom out , focus on chart.
Press button to exit.

If this doesn’t work - I will have to check my lens
