PostTue Jul 16, 2013 1:03 pm

Could anyone give advice, am new to the forum, wondering if its a Flange distance issue or lens? , used the Canon 16mm- 35mm Pro res BMCC, 5D seems sharper as link below.

could you share a higher res version? its hard to make a judgement via a highly compressed 720p web video. I expect the 5D has more sharpening applied than the bmcc in this video.

At this focal length and focal point, I doubt there is any FFD issue at all.

I imagine the bmcc would be resolving far more detail than the 5d on 1080p clip, sharpening is just false detail, giving the appearance of resolution.

The 5D image looks quite over-processed in terms of sharpness. What setting did you put for sharpness in the picture style settings? A flange distance issue wouldn't really show up at a focus distance this close.
