Lens compatbility with BMPCC

PostTue Jul 23, 2013 1:14 am

Hi there,

I am new to this forum and a soon-to-be owner of the pocket cam! I am looking for affordable S16 zoom lens options for the pocket camera. Obviously, I want to get as wide as possible on the wide end to mitigate the crop factor, so I found this lens at a great price:

C MOUNT 16mm SCHNEIDER OPTIK KREUZNACH VARIOGON LENS 8-48mm F1.8

Can anybody suggest (I know there are probably no guarantees!) whether this lens will work with the pocket camera and if so, can anybody comment on the quality? If not, can someone suggest an alternative, good quality S16 zoom that would fit the sensor? (under $4,000 range used).

Thank you so much for your help!

It seems that this lens is a 16mm Lens, so it might easily be it doesn't cover S16 at whole. No guarantee, but I wouldn't test it.

Worth a go. Maybe some slight vignetting that can be cropped out anyway.

Sounds pretty sweet. Where did you see it? If you don't buy it, I might.
