It appears based on the documentation provided by BM that the BPCC does not have a hot shoe. If that is the case then is the only option to place LED's, Audio Recorders, and the like by attaching then to a rig? And the devices need to have their own power source? Or is there any gizmo's/options available besides the rig option? I appreciate feedback, ideas, and confirmations. Thank you!

But that is really a cold shoe, no electronics or power. Didn't you want a real hot shoe option?

He was looking for a way to attach LED lights, Audio Recorders, etc. A hot shoe mount won't power those...

Hi All! Adam was correct that I was looking for a way to attach LED lights, audio, etc. and I did not think a hot shoe would do that, but a cold shoe would give me a way to attach items to a rig or cage. I do appreciate rick confirming. I am guessing all of the accessories will have to be self powered via batteries or or some sort of AC adapter device (assuming I have access to power on set). Any suggestions for options/vendors are welcome. Thanks!

I don't think it does solve the problem - it has a 1/4" screw thread in it, but no mounting screw to fasten it onto the BMPCC - or am I missing something ???
This one
http://www.viewfactor.net/products/blac ... dshoe.html *does* have a mounting screw.
So - where would one get a similar one in the UK?
EDIT >> just had a Google and this looks like it might fit the bill - from Amazon £8.99 free delivery
