I can't compare the two but have the SDI non-OLED version and can tell you that it is nowhere near color-neutral, if you shoot mainly RAW or ProRes that shouldbe ok, the resolution, size and focus peaking was a relief for me, but you (or Imyself) can't really judge skintones with that. SmallHD themselves say something colour critical you can only expect from their pricier pro-line monitors.

Be aware that an OLED display will shift color hue when viewed off axis. An IPS display will lose brightness off axis, but the color does not shift and I've read that color on an OLED can shift dramatically as it ages. Plus I wouldn't want a client to fall in love with the deep blacks of an OLED only to find it's not reproducible on most other monitors.
For these reasons, I went for the time tested IPS panel. I have the IKAN D7 and like it very much.

i was thinking more for focus and assistant work as mostly on set we have separate directors and clients
monitor on sdi.

Dop uses EVF and assistant uses small monitor.

And yes raw is the main goal.

When I spoke with their customer service, the rep thought the IPS version would be all I would need, unless a client monitor was important to me. I also pressed for audio meters, and they said this was not possible in the AC7-series due to hardware restrictions. Feel free to call their customer service to discuss your needs; their customer service is impressive.

After much internal wrangling, I really think the monitor I want long term is the SmallHD DP7. However, the 'budget' version ($1,599) will not be out until Q4. So this weekend I bought a Lilliput 663/S for $600 on eBay. Long term I plan to get the DP7 and use this Lilliput on a B cam.

Great to hear. And I see they currently have an outlet deal on their site for $659. (the version without waveforms)
