Considering they were supposedly shipped last month, has anyone or any dealers actually received a pocket camera yet?

Considering we know that the first cameras only shipped last week, do you really think they could have received their destinations by now?

Well yeh! Unless they are being sent by pidgion, 1week is plenty of time to send an item anywhere!

Few years back I bought a Roland Guitar Synth. Ordered in May arrived in the UK 3 weeks later, sat in the container, in a port in Wales for 5 weeks because of some customs issue. International Shipping is, it seems, a fraught business unfortunatey

You understand that the cameras have to go through customs and have to be unpacked, relabeled, repacked, and sent further to the next part of the distribution chain, probably a couple of times, until they finally end up in a customers home. It's not like any one could order directly at bmd and get their camera sent directly from the factory...

ya, I'm a bit surprised myself. when they said July 25th, i assumed that meant that by that date the cameras would be in the hands of retailers already and be leaving out the door to customers that day. this all sort of seems like it was, not a lie, but a stretching of the truth

Calculate BM dates using this equation:

Promised release date + 1-14 months = product in hand + add a few weeks = - 30% price drop for all late commers. Its simple really, once you've practiced a little.

Today I had contact with my Blackmagic reseller in the Netherlands.

He phoned the Blackmagic importer from my country, they said that they will have a shipment of Pocket Camera's at the end of august.
