Next Gen Camera...
Posted: Wed Mar 25, 2020 10:17 pmBefore the release of the pocket 6k, I was thinking that the next gen camera for BMD to put out would be a full frame cinema camera similar to an Alexa mini LF, MavoLF, zcamF6/8 etc, and more recently the FX9 & C500mkii...
I think it makes sense to make the move to a full frame sensor in 6k / 8k, perhaps a new form factor that allows for modular expansion. I think with BMD's great OS, BRAW, and color science, it could be a great move for the company. Considering the rest of the market, I wonder if we'll see something like this hit the market in a sub $10k price point....
Seeing as there's precedent for full frame on the market sub $10k, what would be some of the features you'd like to see?
Full frame 6k/8k 60p
Full frame 4k 120p+
Anamorphic modes
12/14 bit BRAW
internal ND
interchangeable mounts
