Oh, wow. Amazing to see this come back. I have the Nanlite lights now. I have:
1 Forza 720B
2 Forza 300D
1 Forza 300B
1 Forza 150B
1 Forza 60B
1 MixPanel 150
2 MixPanel 60
1 LitoLite
1 PavoBulb

Eventually I’d like to have all bi-color versions by replacing the daylight versions. But with the new Forza 60C I may also start moving over into the RGBACL line of lights.

I really love the Forza 720B right now. It’s fantastic! And, I’m very happy with the new Forza 150B.

I'll add an additional note that the LED Lights have been rapid fire been updating for the last 3 years. It's crazy.

The Aputure series is not cheap, but the benefits are great in my opinion. There are all dimensions, the quality is excellent and the accessories are well thought out. With the app you can control everything perfectly, which is particularly great when I want to film imagevideos (https://film.raspbotics.at) in a quick and convenient way. In addition, new tools are constantly being developed.

Second Aputure, among Chinese ones they are leading the pack.
IMHO, the prices are reasonable.
No, an iGPU is not enough, and you can't use HEVC 10 bit 4:2:2 in the free version.

I've used both Aputure and Nanlite over the years and like both equally. They both have their strengths.

This year I sold the Daylight only lights. But am holding off on replacing with bi-color. Gonna wait and see what comes down the pipeline a bit as I have a feeling full color is the big flavor of LED lights.

The thing that has annoyed me with the lights is the upgrade cycle, as it is barely two years before the light is replaced by a newer and better version. Kind of burns me out keeping up. I want to invest in something that could last 15-years like you used to get with Arri Fresnels before LED came on the scene.

It will be nice when all this plateaus and you can just invest in a lineup of lights for a solid 10-15 years.

The manufacturers want to avoid that as it hurts their business model. I hope it happens though!

Personally, I’ve bought in to the dual blue chip LED technology

So I replaced our Godox VL lights with an Anglerfish 320dn (got a great deal on eBay) Amaran 200x s and 60x s, and hopefully a Zolar 30C soon

The high SSI is just too hard to disregard/ignore. I know I bought into first year models, but we’ll see how it goes

I recently picked up a bunch of the Nanlite daylight fixtures, 200s and 300s. Lots of punch, no complaints. Having owned tungsten, fluo, HMI, and LED panels I can say I prefer these. The Bowens mount is kind of generic but it offers a ton of inexpensive modifiers. A custom speedring and a Chimera used to be $500, nowadays they’re practically giving modifiers away.

Good Luck

LED (film) lights have come so far the past decade, you can buy dirt cheap, generic Chinese ones off Amazon and still get a usable quality of light.

Built quality and design/features now are the bigger differentiators.

newsshooter.com has extensive reviews of LED lights and is a fantastic source for light recommendations.
