m42 to ef to mft?

PostThu Aug 15, 2013 2:21 am

Hi!

Appreciate any help you guys can give me on this.

I´m planning to buy a BMCC 2.5k MFT.

I have a bunch of different mount lenses for my 7D (m42, ZF, PK). I have the corresponding adapter for all of them to fit on my 7D. My question is: should i get a simple eos to mft adapter and use both adapters together?
Will that give any infinity focus issues?

Thanks in advance!

Yes, this may or may not be the case. Depending on the quality and tolerances of the adapters using two adapters with a camera may introduce flange distance issues, which can result in lenses not hitting focus at infinity. Do you have any EF-mount lenses at all?

Thanks for you answer.

I own the Canon 50mm f1.4, the Tokina 11-18 and a Canon EF-S 18-200 that i use mostly for pictures while travelling.

Man... I was worried about the infinity focus issue... Maybe i should go for the BMCC 2.5 EF mount...
