Q setting is variable. The data rate is entirely scene dependent. More detail and more if focus (wide shots at deep stops) will be a lot higher data rate than a long lens shot of a face with the background out of focus.

How can BMD know what your scene is ?

Q3 could be somewhere between 5:1 and 12:1, but in bursts. The data rates in the table are for sustained recording too. So a slow speed drive might be find for a few surges here and there (which is what Q can do)
