Is compressed Lossless or lossy coming to the BMCC?

The problem is we don't have any hint when the firmware update really comes.. Grant Petty said "soon" in his mail.. but soon is a long time ago now..

Don't take timescales from BMD. they say the pocket camera was shipping on the 25th July, when lets face it it's not really. It's about the same as saying it was shipping in april because they gave one to JB then. so the word SOON probably means mid 2014 I would say.

It's best to get a camera that does what youn need when you buy it, because of this I changed from the pocket camera to the BMCC. I have no idea how long they will take to release RAW for it. Could be as"soon" as 2 months, could be another year.
I would love lossless RAW but I'm not holding out for it.

The actual answer according to Grant Petty is that the BMCC is going to get lossless compression. The big open question continues to be, when?
