Hello Blackmagic Family,
I'm new to the Blackmagic camera and a film student on a TIGHT budget. After reading many post here and doing research for gear for my EF BMCC. I noticed know every mentioned using Nikon Ai lenses for the ef mount with an adapter. Would this not work? Will work, I'm hoping some of you can help me with this, as I'm about to buy glass for my camera. I'm considering the Tokina 11-16 for my wides, Nikon Ai 35,50, and 85 for everything else.
Any help will greatly be appreciated.
Calvin

Hi, yes even a cheap adapter from eBay will work:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_trksi ... &_from=R40I'm using a Nikon 50mm F1.2 "AI-S" on my BMCC EF and 5D Mark III. "AI" lenses should work the same

Mr. Waltes,
Thanks so much for the info ! I have a question for you, I'm considering the 24mm and the 28mm Nikon Ai-Ais I have found both on ebay. Would say I could use the 24mm as a 50 and the 28mm for a 80mm on the BMCC ? I plan buying the Tokina 11-16 for my wide shots.
Thanks again !

As they say, my dad is Mr. Walters.
You can do the math... the 24 acts like a 55.2mm, and the 28 like a 64.4.
A 35 would give you your 80, at 80.5. Happy hunting!
