Hello,

We got some DSLR material, that puts a lot of strain on the processor when working in aftereffects with multiple layers and chaning speed. I hope to have a lighter and more responsive setup with Prores.

Which program and which setting of Prores do you suggest for Canon 5dmkIII material?
I'd be interested in a program for windows doing that. And also settings for resolve.
Should not be only in resolve, as the Laptop that could take care of that encoding while working on something else is not capable to start resolve (although it has a i7 and 8GB of ram).

Something like that or Windows would be lovely. I do own Quicktime pro but I have no idea if it can do this. *edit... I downloaded the beta.. looking forward if that one is stable enough.

You can use Resolve to convert it into all kinds of different flavors of ProRes. I don't have Lite but it is free and assume it does this too for free.

Take a look at "AWPro" and "Cinec". Both are small tools that only do conversion, but they work well and efficient.
