Hello all,

I'm trying to find an equivalent to the Tokina 11-16mm in a Prime lens. Reason being is the infinity issues and also I think I can find a prime for lower cost. Any help would be appreciated.

I think Rokinon's 14mm is a great wide angle solution on the BMCC.

Thanks, I've been looking at the Rokinons.... Are you talking about the cine version or just in general?

I would definitely recommend their cine lenses. Although it's the same lens, their cine lenses work great in any video setting.

However if your willing to wait, the 16mm has a T-stop of 2.2 rather than the 14mm's 3.1.

A SLR Magic 12mm, it's a cine lens, nice focus and click less appiture ring. Takes a great sharp pix, and would be on the wider side of the 11-16. You could then add a 17mm (standard) lens for a normal view angle, and a 25mm to round out the set.
