I've been waiting for this for a while - the Rode mic with built in recording. No idea on pricing yet but I hear whispers that it will be less than US$400. Currently I use a Tascam recorder with NTG-2 and NTG-3 mics and AT mics - works well but we all want to lose some weight heh?

I like the idea of also using this small Rode-recorder on a boompole. Could be very useful for BMCC users - whats your view on this?

Didn't they announce that early last year? I had one on order until mid year last year then just bought a Stereo VideoMic Pro.

Looks like a good fit for the BMPCC to supply in-camera recording and external recording.
