Redrock livelens & BMPCC, Auto Focus?

I have bought a used Livelens mft for Eos while waiting for my preorder.

I was surprised that it is not a real active lens adapter, that is, its semi active.
There is electronic connectors between Eos-lens and adapter, but on the mft side its empty, only metal adapter.

(there is a button and a display on the adaptor that controls the lens and can be set for example 1,4 or 2,8.)

Now to my question:

Will focus peaking work with pocket cam? (this green focus effect viewed on the display?)
Is this function depending on feedback from lens, will it work with a manual lens?

Focus peaking works by analyzing the contrast in the image. The Camera doesn't communicate with the lens for simple focus peaking. You will be able to use manual lenses with it.

It won't auto focus. It was designed purely to control the aperture of Canon lenses. It does not communicate with the host camera in any way.

Pressing the focus button on the BMPCC will do the same thing as it does with a manual lens connected: turn on focus peaking.

Will upcoming Eos Metabone adapter transfer autofocus?

Edit: it will not work

Auto focus is complex. So you should not expect lenses designed for once AF system (MFT) to work with an AF system (Canon EF) from a completely different system.

Even Sony struggled to get Alpha lenses to autofocus on E mount cameras and they had all the software and hardware source in hand.

I'm happy to get aperture, and I'm happy to get focus assist, and I'm happy to to be able to use my Canon lenses. :)

And I'm happy to soon get my camera!

And if I buy a active mtf lens, I'll get Auto-focus!
And then I'll be happy again! :D
