6K stuck monitor pixels

PostFri Jul 03, 2020 5:48 pm

Hey, i've got 2 green stuck pixels on the monitor of my new Pocket 6K. They are on the screen, not the sensor so they don't affect the footage. Is there anyway to have these removed? Cheers!

I would think not.

BMD maybe consider it under an RMA, but most companies have an “acceptable” number of dead pixels for screens like this and I’m pretty sure it’s higher than 2.

- Most screens have dead pixels somewhere if you go looking for them....most people don’t notice it....

Thanks for the help John, Ive had a closer look, there's a few others in the corners/boarder of the monitor, and 2-3 nearer the centre. The boarder ones don't really bother me but one or two in the centre are quite visible when shooting. Its no huge deal if it can't be fixed but I've started a support ticket to see what they say, Ive always had a very positive experience with Blackmagic repairs in the past. Cheers.
