Bmpcc 4K Recording footage

PostWed Jul 29, 2020 2:16 am

Not sure if this is a bmpcc issue or with Samsung, but I recently bought Bmpcc pocket 4K and was using Samsung’s SSD T7 external drive. As well as tested quick footage on an SD card. I now realize the T7 isn’t the ideal external drive for Bmpcc so, however not sure if this is still supposed to happen. This is what my footage I got on every clip

Dave, very sorry but you should stay with media that is approved for use with the camera. These listings are available on the BMD Support page as you scroll down the middle frames for the Production Cameras.

Apparently the new drive is even more problematic than its predecessor which has also had its share of difficulties.

I use the Wise Portable SSD. But others use drives from Angelbird or others manufacturers on the approved list.

Hi I am back. I got the Blackmagic compatible external drive, only to run into the same issue as before. I’ve updated the firmware to the latest as well. Not sure at this point what my issue is. it also doesn’t playback my footage on the camera, only the audio with a black screen. Anybody with any ideas? Thanks
