I have had the BMPCC for a few days now and just as last summer when I got my hands on the BMCC and brought it to Hawaii to shoot with it I was impressed then and now. I won't get into what has already been said from feature requests to sensor issues as its been covered and BMD is aware from a lot of us early adopters and customers getting them daily. Below are some screen grabs of a few shots from tonight shooting around Portland. Ill leave some space to post some footage as well.

From the compressed jpg grab below all at ASA 800 shooting with M4/3 lenses
SLR Magic 50mm Hyper Prime f0.95
Voightlander 17.5 f0.95
Panasonic 100-300mm
Panasonic 8mm
Zeiss CP2 35 & 85 T 2.1

Just as I am posting I share sentiments of alot of us shooting with the BMPCC and BMCC. I would like to see features on both camera addressed in the very near future and the team has been great when providing feedback. Is it a perfect camera no. But you really get to see how this camera can fit into your storytelling.
It is a work in progress a choice we didn't have a few months ago just like back in 2006 when RED brought the RED One to the scene. Judge for yourself how this camera fits or doesnt fit your work.

Looks great especially the lower light stuff, good to see someone not intentionally showing those white orbs of death or whatever they are being dubbed these days as im sure they are avoidable and im sure BMC is on the case.... Just seems people want to hang BMD in some parts of the web no matter how much they are trying to get high quality images at a pretty low price. In a way im not looking forward to the 4k for all the hate that will be tried to but towards it

PS. How is the SLR Magic 50mm? Ive herd very mixed opinions about it!

... and yet the last image displays the blooming effect very prominently. It may be avoidable, but this is no good example!

looks more like clipping to me doesnt have the really sharp edges isnt 100% pure white and is pretty soft almost like a pro mist filter or diffusion was used... looks simular to how my BMCC handles bright highlights from street lamps etc. in low light, it deffo not jumping out and slapping one in the face like the harsh circles of pure white death in other footage, but maybe i have tired eyes tonight :P .

I think the key to these discussions is to be enthusiastic and professional at the same time. Like other resellers we received one and only one camera. The footage requests are to shoot with the widest rectilinear we have and shoot test charts. @omegabroadcast
