Kessler Hercules + K-Pod Opinions?

On a tight budget and looking to find a good all-around tripod solution. Most of my shoots are pretty well controlled - I don't have to run and gun, guerrilla style or carry my equipment very far, so I was wondering if anyone had any experience using the Kessler Hercules head as a standard pan/tilt tripod head. I use my slider quite a lot, and looking at a jib, so it seems like a good all around solution.

Thoughts?

Thanks!

I have this system,
It is one solid system though the k pod is not really a tripod but more of a crane heavy duty stand... It lacks the ability of extending in hight and not sectional...
When I do use it I love it... It is heavy and sturdy as hell.

How is the head itself? Is the pan/tilt smooth enough to use like a normal video fluid head?

Pretty spot on.

K Pod, Pocket Jib, +wheels and track is a very hard combo to beat at the price.

The Kessler head is heavy duty. The K-pod is really for jib use. If you are going to get the Pocket Jib Pro, which I have, get the K-pod. If you just want good sticks, I would get the Manfrotto heavy duty three section graphite sticks. These are awesome. However, know that the Manfrotto sticks won't support the Pocket Jib Pro. BTW, I have a Hercules Head that I'm not using if you want to buy it from me.
