Look to this SSD-drive: Samsung 512GB 840 Pro Series 2.5" Solid State Drive
Image
It's fast and have very good rating on many website.. and I'd like to get it for BMPC package :)
I wonder why we still don't see this SSD drive in Blackmagic Design list of reccomended SSD for Blackmagic Production Camera 4K ?? Tom's Hardware site test it at September 24, 2012 !!!, ( http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/840 ... ,3302.html ) and we still don't have any opinion of it from BlackmagicDesig professionals .. Why??
...I understand that Australia is so far away from New York, but it's almost a YEAR now, since we know about this Samsung SSD.... I preorder 3 of Blackmagic Production Cameras, and when I will able to get it, I will have no time to testing too many SSD-drives.. ... so? ... :)

Thanks a lot ! :) I see it on line for $450 and seem as it's a good price for 512GB :)

There is also a NEW Samsung 1TB 840 Evo-Series SATA III Internal SSD for $650
.. and 750GB 840 Evo-Series SATA III Internal SSD for $530
..but I don't know if BMPC have any SSD size limit.. ??

...anyway there is a Samsung 500GB 840 Evo-Series SATA III Internal SSD for $370

..ao maybe someone know a little about this new EVO-Series ?? :)

This SSD seems like an option. I originally went searching the forum for the 1TB 840 EVO Series that you spoke about briefly, but it seems the PRO will work better.

Further looking into the 840 EVO, I found a NewEgg video detailing the benchmark tests of the SSD. In the video, they run Black Magic's own benchmark software, and it looks like it will not hold up to the demands that full 12 bit recording requires. Here's a screenshot.
