BMCC EF, Lost Files questions, non resposive

Probably once a day while using my bmcc (latest firmware) my camera gets unresponsive when trying STOP recording. Invariably I have to power cycle the camera and I usually loose about 20 percent of that take.

Does anyone else have this issue?

I've not had that issue.

What SSD are you using? Perhaps its struggling to write the files and this causing the lock-up? Have you tried different SSDs?

Has the drive been re-formatted after copying your footage off it? Just deleting the files can cause errors.

You can find the list of current certified SSDs published by BM in the FAQ here:
http://www.blackmagicdesign.com/support ... 542&os=mac

These 3 Kingston SSDs are listed:
Kingston 120GB SSDNow V+200 (SVP200S3/120G)
Kingston 240GB SSDNow V+200 (SVP200S3/240G)
Kingston HyperX 240GB (SH100S3/240G)

I have not been reformatting, will do that today, thanks for the tip, this drive is compatible so I should be good to go. Sometimes the camera jsut wont respond in general even when not recording
