There are big fans of these tripods here an elsewhere and B&H has just sent out an email putting one on sale until midnight EDT September 16.

I don't know a lot about these tripods, so perhaps others will comment on the offer.

If you require the ability to do quick setups and quick height changes then these legs are unbeatable ( they are laughably quick to anyone used to individual leg clamps ) but for rigidity at eye level they are not quite as good as traditional twin leg designs which can be had for less money.

They had a very limited supply and are already sold out.

There's a group buy gong on over at the Reduser site on several of the Flowtech tripods and head combinations.

I have had this tripod and an FS8 head on backorder for the last 6 weeks. It finally shipped yesterday. Looking forward to playing with it.

Damn, that was quick. Those are the legs I want. I saw the Reduser group buy, but I'm not as interested in the head....and the Deal Zone buy was a better discount AND I could use the Payboo card to save on the tax...

It isn't the norm, but occasionally B&H "Deal Zone" offers sell out before the day is out. B&H now shows the tripod as backordered, which suggests that it sold all of its available stock at a 31% discount. No idea why Sachtler/B&H would do that, especially since the ground spreader version is in stock and available at full price.

Nice! I have this Flowtech Tripod for my FSB-8 head and love it. It's incredibly fast and easy to use.
