samsung T5 SSD issue

PostThu Oct 08, 2020 2:28 pm

Hi, I am finding BMPCC6K showing my Samsung SSD T5 full despite it being empty. It asks for a format which I have done repeatedly. and shows empty on the desktop and allows all functions. Tired with all solutions kindly help.

Did you format in the camera?
Did you try another cable?
Now that the cat #19 is out of the bag, test it as much as you can and use the subforum.

You have a security partition on your T5. The T5 should have an app which you can use to remove this. Once you have disabled the password you should be able to format the whole volume for use.

If formatting in-camera is not working, try a FULL FORMAT (depending on the options your computer is giving you) on a computer. If it’s not a damaged drive, it’s very likely a filing system issue.

If you’re using Mac, run First Aid FIRST before formatting.. it may give you extra info on the issue and will attempt to fix, though formatting after this is strongly recommended in your case.

Try the following. Copy everything alive to a backup drive, which you should always have if you use an SSD.
