E Image Tripods

Has anyone used E Image tripod systems, I'm on a budget and wanted to know if anyone has any knowledge of them.

I have one. Works perfect for static shots. You'll never get a really smooth pan or tilt action from it though.

They're horrendous.. We have a couple at work as cheap alternatives for the casual operators doing small jobs. They constantly break and are in general just extremely poor quality.

Complete garbage. Stay away.

All e-photo, e-image, fancier etc. Total crap.

I know we all start out hoping to get away with a cheap tripod. I did. I'm a cheap weasel, but sticky pans, sticky tilt's, absolute nightmare. Even the lowliest rated manfrotto is 5 times better than this stuff. I'm sorry but you'll just have to find a few more bucks. If you get one it will be landfill in little time. Mine is currently used to support a portable workbench. Even with that it's useless. Would have been better off with some 2 by 4.

Others may have had better luck than me.

Thanks guys, I'm a student trying to stretch the almighty dollar and I was looking at them and the Libec tripods. I think I'm going to just try and work extra hrs and go Manfotto high end....

Break? wow, I'm curious what you're doing with it lol.

I've used mine in -40 degree and in the most inhospitable environments...it's never "broken". It's just not great for video use like panning.

I use the fancier 270A tripod and fluid head. This is the older version that is better than the newer one and is quite good for its low price. I paid £114 delivered.

It does look a bit extreme for my little Pocket Camera though

I absolutely love it
I got a really good second hand deal at £350
For that money nothing comes close
Full fluid head - and steady as a rock
I dont doubt for a second the Sachtler tripods would kick it round the park for fun
but even second hand sachtlers that can take 10kgs go for more than my car is worth

A light stand would be more stable than an e-image

Not bad as a perch for up to 7 Kg. Legs tend to bend past that and they don't open wide, probably because they're not very strong. I wouldn't throw mine away though, always good for a rainy day or using in high risk shots where damage could occur to the more expensive stuff.

Hmm 0 it seems that everyone is talking about the £100 ebay tripods
I am talking about the proper E-image tripods
