Have you seen the approved media list? viewtopic.php?f=2&t=95785

All of the SSDs on that list are approved for a given codec, etc. As far as I know, nobody has carried out a comparison. People here will tell you what they use and that they're happy, and that's about it. There are differences in price that are significant. There is zero evidence that the difference in price reflects a difference in quality or reliability. Personally, I think that Samsung is able to undercut everybody else because it's a major player in the production of SSDs and a number of the others are rebranding minnows. In any event, it's a reasonable guess that a significant majority of people using SSDs are using Samsung T5s.

I think that the key thing is to read Blackmagic's approved list carefully. For example, sometimes it is specific about drive capacity.

Thanx Rob. Which one would you recommend? Is the T5 sufficient for 4.6k BRAW 120fps ?

Using the Data rates calc spreadsheet for BMD camera codecs complements of Robert Niessner, for BRAW 4.6K 120fps, you need the following sustained write speeds:

BRAW 3:1 683.4 MB/s
BRAW 5:1 410.1 MB/s
BRAW 8:1 256.3 MB/s
BRAW 12:1 170.9 MB/s

BRAW Q0 410 MB/s to 1025 MB/s
BRAW Q5 103MB/s to 293 MB/s

So for the T5 500, I believe the sustained (not advertised) write speed is 241.76 MB/s. So it is possible to do BRAW 12:1, possibly 8:1, Q5 at that frame rate.

You might also want to look at the specs for Angelbird SSD.
