I have not seen anyone post this yet, so I thought that I would share. The ADATA SE800 is a next gen SSD that has better performance than the Samsung T7 and a price point that is better than the Samsung T5. What could be better?

I got the drive, hooked it up to my laptop, ran some benchmarks, just shy of 1000 MB/s read and write! Fantastic. I connect it to the BMPCC4K and take it for a test spin. First day, no problems. Second day, I was not paying attention and the camera only recorded 1/2 of my takes. I was running some test shots for an upcoming commercial, so no biggie, but a real issue if I didn't get it corrected. 3rd day, it records a black frame and stops due to dropped frames. I turn off the setting to stop recording on dropped frames and it records. Every frame is black.

After seeing the issues reported for the T7, and this is clearly not on the approved SSD list, I bought a T5. I am testing now. I will report back if there are issues, but the initial test showed it recording.

I just wanted to share my experience incase anyone else was eyeing the SE800. It is too bad really because it is a great drive that perfoms in my benchmarks just as advertised.
