Which firmware update for a new P4K?

PostMon Jan 04, 2021 10:17 am

Excited about getting my new P4K this Thursday but I'm not sure which firmware is the right one to install when it arrives?

Do I install 7.2, 7.0 or 6.9.6?

Each of these firmware updates are listed on the Cinematography forum front page but I'm a bit confused.

The latest version for pocket cameras is whatever the version before 7.0 is. I assume 6.9.6, but don't know for sure.

Yes, 6.9.6 is the latest one.
Saying "Thx for help!" is not a crime.

If you are updating for the first time, you can download the latest Camera Utility from https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/suppor ... al-cameras

Not every camera gets updated firmware with every update to the Camera Utility. The Camera Utility version is currently 7.2, but it will update the Pocket 4K to 6.9.6.
