Tokina still lenses for BMPCC6K

PostTue Feb 23, 2021 4:53 pm

As we know Sigma cine zoom lenses are made from the same glass as Sigma's 18-35 and 50-100mm still lenses have.

So question is this, does Tokina Cinema 11-20mm T2.9 ATX and Tokina 50-135mm T2.9 Mark II Cinema ATX lenses are made from same glass as their still versions?
If yes can you tell me the full name of that still version? Because there are ton of tokina still lenses and i couldn't figure out or you can share a b&h,amazon link.
I am just doing some research, thanks.

I don't know about those two lenses, but the Tokina T2.9 100mm macro is a rehousing of a Tokina macro still lens that costs US$2,000 less. See this post: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=133773&p=724125&hilit=tokina+macro#p723804

The Cine 11-16mm, 11-20mm, 16-50mm, and 50-135mm are rehouses of APS-C glass. All but the 11-20mm have been discontinued in their APS-C incarnations.

The 100mm Cine macro and the 16-28mm are based on Tokina's FF lenses.

Good Luck

I received my Tokina Cinema-ATX 11-20mm PL mount in December 2018. Here is the Duclos Lenses webpage on this version:

Only one of those lenses is an 11-20mm.

Of the remaining two, the CF is a new-ish formula, the AT-X provided the optics for the original 11-16mm Cine.

Good Luck
