Unable to install SSD Recorder

PostTue Mar 02, 2021 7:35 pm

Just picked up a new URSA 4.6K G2 and an SSD recorder. I'm unable to line-up the holes between the bracket and the SSD holder, the screws that hold the bracket onto the camera body don't line-up perfectly with the indent holes on the back of the SSD holder, therefor the holder is 1mm off... From the attached photos, you can see where the screw head is rubbing against the indentation in the back of the SSD holder.

Anyone else run into this issue?

A couple of things to check...

1. Make sure when you have installed it that you haven't pinched the cable that extends from the SSD recorder and plugs into the back of the camera. If the cable is stuck here it could be causing mis-alignment.

2. Once you have checked that put the SSD Recorder in place with the bracket and tighten the top two screws with your fingers but don't completely tighten them... leave them loose enough so that there is a bit of play.

Then push the bottom end of the recorder in until it is flush with the back of the camera / bracket and see if it is aligned? There should be enough play in there to wriggle it up or down slightly. Once you have it straight and aligned you can put the bottom screws in and tighten all fo them up.
