Green Screen or Blue Screen?

This Eizo webinar, held last week as part of its Creative Mastermind series, features visual effects artists Jake Maymudes and Eric Barba. Barba won an Academy Award for Visual Effects for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.

The first part of the webinar is about how the visual effects business works, 2019's Terminator: Dark Fate providing context. However, at 46:30 the discussion turns to the subject of green screen and blue screen. Good historical background on why both exist, and interesting analysis of which to use:



The previous Eizo webinar is something of a counterpoint to the latest. Photographer Andrei Duman talks about wanting to get away from studio artifice and his Aston Martin shoot on an airstrip in the California desert:
