Check out MYT works in New York. It is this French guy who is an amazing designer and engineer. I met him at Cinegear Expo in LA a few years ago and purchased one of his 4' extruded aluminum slider and love it. It has an integral ball mount which doubles as a high hat and very clever design features. Extremely light weight yet can take a substantial load.

Edelkrone Slider Plus.

Extremely small and light and interesting design allows it to have a longer path while staying small. Note the design is better suited for tripod than on the ground since you don't get the extension on the ground.

I'm a fan of kessler products because they are well built and designed with solid materials. Check out their Philip Bloom pocket dolly, which is a combo of their cineslider and pocket dolly in one. Comes in sizes that fit in a tripod bag.

You didn't mention size or price.

cheesycam[dot]com carries video reviews, reader comment and price info on a wide range of video gear, camera motion especially, so: many many sliders. Emm the site owner is a working DP/OP and does many of these videos himself. This is only the latest slider:

Hi there, I am sorry I totally forgot about this post ,have been busy with work but departure date is fast approaching and I am yet to figure out how to travel very compact and still have a slider.

I am looking for a cheapest possible solution. I don't believe a good slider should cost more then 300$. But a slider with wheels, lightweight, under 20-24 inches.

Duzi is the slider I am looking at actually, which is 375 + tax here in Canada. I have seen some great results with it. It is a bit expensive though.

I am looking into investing into Dynamic Perception (for commercial shooting) in the long run so i don't want to spend a lot of money on a slider just for travel. But I have traveled for 7 months last year and i constantly wanted a slider in number of situations.

Edelkrone had been getting tons of negative reviews all over for not fixing issues from v1 in v2, its still getting stuck, their shipping times are horrible and prices are insane. It is a clever idea but i will wait until China copies it.

Has anyone seen great solutions for traveling? I am looking for some really portable setups with tripod + slider, which are run and gun, extra fast to setup and use.

I have a DP and they are really nice, I use it with a emotimo tb3 black and will be using a chronos with lens apartus to pull focus, all great stuff, I was having some major issues with my zero rail this day, but all seems ok now, here are some samples

@Urban Gorilla Tell you what, buy the Cinevate Duzi, use it for your travel, and when you get back...and if it ain't broke I'll buy it from you for $80 less than retail including shipping.
Basically you would buy it, use it, then sell it to me for $80 less plus+shipping,
that's about $105 or $118 for you to use the Duzi for your travels. :o

Now that is a travel slider price you cant beat! 8-)

Let me know, send me a PM if you are interested.
I will even give you a $80 paypal deposit to guarantee my offer, after you purchase it.
