12G 5" and Pocket 6k displaying wildly different colours

Hi, I have a pocket 6k and just purchased a 12g video assist monitor. I cannot get the monitor to accurately display what's coming off the camera. The monitor is incredibly contrasty, and has a massive blue colour shift. I have made sure I'm not using a LUT on the monitor, and I've also tried resetting it to factory defaults.

Do I have a dud?

A massive blue shift? Did you check that the Menu / Monitor / Blue Only setting is Off?

Jacob, thanks for the photo. I was suggesting the monitor’s Blue screen setting after you said “massive shift.” You certainly have a blue shift there but I thought the Video Assist firmware 3.4 update would address that issue. Did it make any improvement at all?

Support say this is normal? Seems pretty shoddy to me but I guess I’m just going to be living with it and not trusting either monitor!

Top left hand corner menu press the monitor symbol and it change to blue a menu pop up give you the option to change the contrast and brightness.

I know about those settings, however you can’t match the contrast and brightness that way. TBH the contrast I can live with, it’s the colour shift that’s the real problem.

Jacob, have you seen an improvement after applying Video Assist 3.4.1?

There’s a suggestion to use the Video Assist for a few different times to see if it takes awhile to settle on the improved colour calibration.
