For the last almost 2 weeks 2050 people somehow found this post.
But no one from BMD team.

Again just silence...

Not a single word from Black Magic team on this website about RAW on BMPCC...
or date of update...
Or I'm looking for information in wrong place? do I need to check some Instagram?

Acording to this page (F@#* "Information: You are not allowed to post URLs!")
blackmagicdesign.com/products/blackmagicpocketcinemacamera
it steel look like i'm an idiot, cause my (and all other) BMPCC can shoot RAW just now without any problem...

Mr. Grant Petty
Maybe You can give as a public beta version of "RAW" firmware for BMPCC?
I believe many of us can be happy with that.
Also it can be helpful for BM to, we can give a lot of feedback.
Anyway it can be better than nothing...

yes, that too . . .

or we can just profit from the experience of pretty much every question that has ever been asked (between 1 and a million times) here, that at least in this case:

1. It's in the field with beta-testers.
2. It's obviously a priority.
3. We've been told there will be news when there is something of substance to report.

Nothing about our impatience (or in some cases bad manners) is going to change any of that.

Certainly someone will decide to be offended by my comments here...that is not my intention, and mine is just one small voice.

I visited the head office last week, it was indicated to me that I could expect to have Raw near the
start of November.

Did they indicate it would have higher frame rate (on better cards). How I wish it did and or it was half the price, or they did it in 4k.

This is physically impossible. The camera would overheat if it read out the sensor at higher frame rates. With the current sensor technology, you would need a bigger camera with a more powerful cooling system. This is the price you pay for the camera's compact size.

HA....no one hold your breath. Raw near November? which November? 2013? 2014?

Asking for Mr. Petty to give you an answer is a waste of time. Mr. Petty has conferred his namesake on Blackmagic Designs....his company offers "petty" customer service, "petty" loyalty to purchasers, and a "petty" attempt at delivering on promises.

And if I sound hostile, you are welcome to read my other posts to see why. I have recieved nothing from BM but a lame camera that they devalued within months after my purchase...a camera that to make work properly, I must rely on opp's (other people's products) for BM promised functionality.

So again, don't hold your breath, and don't expect a reply. In fact, the new motto for BM should be "Despite what we tell you, Don't believe it till you see it....if ever!"

:D I can imagine a funny fake commercial around the word "magic" ...

I still believe they have good intentions, but that is just the opposite of good.

Where do you get your information? Was one of these sensors supposed to be 100fps capable, or something like that. If from the same manufacturer and technology on the other sensors it should carry over. It would be a pretty slack sensor technology if it over heated at 50p. You know the compression engine is likely to be the one generating most heat (most of the heat). Avoiding it might cool the camera. The compression engine and data path to storage are likely the limiting factors, less compression requires great datarate, so a faster card might allow it.

You could in great protest at the injustice sell me your Pocket Cam (with warrantee) for half price, even more indignant protest at 1/3rd price. :)
