I bought the 128 GB extreme SD card for my pocket camera, tested the speed with the blackmagic disk speed utility and was able to get around 39 MB/s write and 43 MB/s read speed. Will this be good enough for recording pro res ??? I believe that as per apple specs 29 MB/s id good enough for prores HQ.

Sandisk Extreme is on the approved list.
There seems to be two Extreme SDs. One are 45MB/s and the other are 80MBs although I haven't seen the later in the 128GB cards though. I believe there are people using the former without issue.

The 128GB/Read speeds up to 80MB/s are on the front page at sandisk here http://www.sandisk.com/products/memory- ... s-1-45mbs/
Not sure how readily available they are, but I'm sure they are not cheap.

The 128GB 80MB/s are not available anywhere. Not even from Sandisk.
The write is 60MB/s which may be fast enough for cDNG. Bigger cards for the coming cDNG would be nice. Of course longer record times for ProRes too.

If you click on "Enhanced" which are the Extremes, Sandisk doesn't even list the 128GB 80MB/s are a preorder item.

The 128GB 45MB/s cards definitely work for ProRes without issues.

Thanks for confirming.
I do wish BMD was more thorough with their FAQ.
We've already noted that one of their "approved compatible" Panasonic lens with OIS actually doesn't support OIS.
