Has any one experiencing this?
Weird square pixilation on great depth of field shots
Firs I noticed when grading in resolve, i thought it's jsut some bug on scaling in viewer, but i found it in rendered files as well. All shot with ASA200 in Log mode. More noticeable after sharpening.
Not consistant, did some test shots later with same settings, all is normal.
Very noticeable when image scaled in viewer in odd precent number. Like if scaled to 53% Square mesh all over the screen, but when scaled 50% or 100% all is normal until you zoom in, and then you see the square blocks of pixels.

What camera is that? I found the same thing looking into the sun with my pocket cam, but at a much lower resolution (larger squares)

This happens in Adobe After Effects Viewer also, only in the DNG files from the BMCC at full 2.5k

I think it is some kind of moire pattern being formed by the camera's pixel grid superimposed onto the computer display's pixel grid. At odd viewing resolutions the pattern become more pronounced, while at 100% it disappears because the two grids align. Just shoot for a few seconds without a lens (dust cap off) into a light source and look at it then!

This was reported once or twice before in this forum - would be interesting to know if it is just a rare phenomenon or can be reproduced on all cameras? I suspect it to be artifacts produced in the debayering process, so they should be visible in all cameras, given the same recording conditions and post processing.

Can you propose steps to reproduce the effect, so that other can check their cameras as well?
