The topic is discussed in different forums but I just want to dedicate this one to the news about the speedbooster for EF to MFT. Does anyone know when its coming out?

Before the launch of the pocket camera I contacted metabones and they said late 2013. Not really wanting to wait around for something to get made I got myself a Kipon adapter and that works well. Not AF or IS but that's fine for the 90USD I spent to use all my EF glass.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm also on the fence which way to go with glass for the BMPCC. Would you mind clarifying exactly which Kipon you got and if it works on all your EF glass without trouble.? I've heard problems with vignetting and that focus basically does not work other than infinity.

I was considering the Kipon and would love to see some sample footage if possible. If you have any thoughts about it, please let us know. Thanks!

It should arrive tomorrow. I work Friday/Saturday/Sunday so getting footage might be difficult.
As to which adapter, I think they only have 1 EF to M4/3 adapter, so that one. I tried it with my 50mm 1.4 and it was fine. I saw no vignetting, but that was done in store and in a hurry. When I get it I'll test it on the lenses I do have which are: Tamron 24-70mm, Canon 50mm 1.4, Canon 100mm 2.8, Canon 70-200mm 4L.
As for focus, it's all manual. If you open it up to 1 (On the adapter) you have a very shallow DOF. I had to put on a ND filter to get it to expose correctly under the bright lights of the store. Since you control the iris via the adapter manually, you're doing it all manually. No AF no IS. This is a none issue for me. As much as I'd like IS, I can live without it for now. I like manual AF and being able to ride my aperture to get smooth transitions between exposures.

I asked metabones last week and I was told they were hoping to launch it in January.
So we'll see.
