BMPCC - Can't play the file

Hi everyone,

I just received my BMPCC today after waiting for 1 month (I live in NZ, not a very long waiting list). Anyway, I shoot some simple shots using a Sandisk Extreme SDHC 80 mb/s. First it says 'NO CARD' so I change the format. NTFS, FAT and FAT32 all says 'NO CARD'. Then I formatted to exFAT, which is now working on the camera. HOWEVER, when I plug in the SD into my laptop, the video file won't play on Windows Media Player or QuickTime. But it worked on VLC. Then I tried and import it into Sony Vegas just for a basic edit, it says file error. Can anyone please help me out? Thanks!

Perhaps you need the Apple ProRes decoder installed.

I already installed that, still not working. :x

Something weird happened to the file. In the camera I set the correct date and time but when I plug it into PC the folder containing that file says file created "Tomorrow". Image.

Solved it!

I did try and play it with QuickTime, but got an error code. So I reinstall QuickTime and restart my computer and it's all working fine now. But for some reason it still not working on Windows Media Player, but who cares haha.

I don't think WMP can access the ProRes Quicktime codec. That might throw people because WMP can play H.264 .mov files. A professional NLE would access the codec though so if your Vegas is up to date you should give that a try.
