Does anyone know if a Zeiss S16 lens for Arriflex can be used with the Pocket? I've seen Arri->MFT adapters for sale but I'm curious about the flange distance, etc. Specifically I'm looking at the 16mm 1.2T and 9.5mm 1.2T

Amazing camera, by the way. I've been using it with the Lumix 12-35mm f/2.8 but I'd love to try a prime.

If your talking about the PL mount, I have a 16mm MKii coming tomorrow. I ordered it after I tested a Master Prime on the pocket camera with an adapter and no problem.

If you're looking for a really well made adapter that's shim-able, I got this one off ebay.

The focus marks were right on without doing anything to the adapter. I'll let you now how the Super 16 version works out tomorrow.

They are lovely lenses and perfect for the BMPCC. Should have no issues if you use a quality adaptor.

The 9.5mm might vignette ever so slightly. It did on Super16mm film.

Forgive my ignorance (I'm coming from DSLR world) but is Arri and PL mount one and the same?

I would also highly recommend ciecio7's PL Mount and Arri Bayonet adapter too, very durable and well made, its holding a heavy s16 zoom (Canon 8-64) lens very tightly with my pocket camera.

You will only find older lens with Arri Bayonet mount, PL Mount only comes in later. PL Mount seems to be the standard mount for Cine lens nowadays, if you are planning to use more cine lens in the future, would suggest to get a PL mount adapter to M4/3 rather than Arri Bayonet adapter to M4/3, plus you can easily get an Arri Bayonet to PL Mount adapter onto your lens.

That's not PL. It's Arri mount.

That's not a lens, (Obviously) but it is what the mount hardware would look like. It's a PL body cap.

These are excellent lenses. Mount is ARRI B style. I have found a number of ARRI B super 16 lenses. But no direct adapter from "B" MFT. ARRI Standard mount adapters are available. GOod News, there is a PL adapter, and several services that will change mount to PL. Wooden Camera has a very nice PL adapter that mounts to their Pocket cage.

Hi Denny,

I bought a Arri B mount to M4/3 adapter from this guy, then later exchanged it for a PL mount to M4/3, both excellent machined adapters.

Here's the 16mm Zeiss MKII S16 lens. It's roughly standard focal (about 32mm in S35) for this chip. It needs to get the flange shimmed as it's off infinity by a hair. Will be great alongside F3 with S35 version of these lenses.
